Interface Overview
Tradavity uses a clean, minimal interface designed to help you focus on your trading journal. Here's a quick tour of the main areas.
Top Bar
The top bar is always visible and contains:
- Logo - Click to return to the dashboard
- Page Title - Shows which page you're on
- Account Switcher - Switch between trading accounts
- Date Range Picker - Filter all data by date range
Account Switcher
The account button shows your currently active trading account. Click it to:
- See all your trading accounts
- Switch to a different account
- Create a new account
All trades, statistics, and data are filtered by the selected account.
Date Range Picker
Click the date button to filter data across the entire app:
- All Time - Show all data
- Today - Current day only
- This Week - Current week
- This Month - Current month
- Custom Range - Select specific start and end dates
The selected date range applies to Dashboard, Trade History, and Statistics.
Sidebar Navigation
The sidebar on the left provides access to all main features:

| Strategies | Build and manage your trading strategies, setups, and confirmations |
| Protocols | Create and manage trading checklists for different stages |

| Backtesting | Opens the backtesting platform (separate app) |
| Help | Opens this Help Center |
Add Trade Button
The prominent Add Trade button in the sidebar is your quick access to log new trades. Click it to open the trade entry form.
Bottom Section
At the bottom of the sidebar:
- Subscription - View your plan and upgrade options
- Settings - Access all app settings
- Logout - Sign out of your account
Collapsing the Sidebar
On desktop, you can collapse the sidebar to icon-only mode:
- Click the arrow button on the sidebar separator line
- The sidebar collapses to show only icons
- Hover over icons to see tooltips with labels
- Click the arrow again to expand
On mobile, the sidebar is hidden by default. Tap the menu icon in the top left to open it.
Main Content Area
The main area displays the current page content. This is where you'll:
- View your dashboard statistics
- Browse and filter trades
- Add and edit trade entries
- Configure settings
Mobile Navigation
On mobile devices:
- The sidebar is hidden by default
- Tap the hamburger menu icon to open the sidebar
- Tap anywhere outside the sidebar to close it
- The account switcher moves to the sidebar on mobile
Keyboard Navigation
You can use your keyboard to navigate:
- Tab - Move between interactive elements
- Enter - Activate buttons and links
- Escape - Close modals and overlays
Tips
- Bookmark the Dashboard - It's your home base for daily trading reviews
- Use date ranges - Filter by week or month to focus on recent performance
- Collapse sidebar - Get more screen space when working with trade data
- Quick add - The Add Trade button is always accessible in the sidebar
