Go To Guide

Go To buttons let you quickly jump to specific times on the chart. Create buttons for session opens, important trading times, or custom time-based navigation.

Accessing Go To

Navigate to Tab 6 (Go To) in the right panel to manage your Go To buttons.

Button Types

Time Buttons

Jump to a specific time of day.

  • Use for: Market open, close, key session times
  • Example: Jump to 9:30 AM EST every time
  • Requires: Time and timezone

Day of Week Buttons

Jump to a specific time on a particular day of the week.

  • Use for: Weekly events, session starts
  • Example: Jump to Monday 8:00 AM
  • Requires: Day, time, and timezone

Offset Buttons

Move forward or backward by a set amount of time.

  • Use for: Stepping through data in fixed increments
  • Example: Jump forward 1 day, or back 30 minutes
  • Requires: Offset value, unit (minutes/hours/days), and direction

Creating a Go To Button

  1. Navigate to Tab 6 (Go To)
  2. Click Add Time Button
  3. Select Button Type
  4. Enter a Button Name
  5. Configure the target time or offset
  6. Click Create Button

Using Go To Buttons

  • Click a Go To button to navigate the chart
  • The chart scrolls to show the target time
  • Works in both normal viewing and replay mode
  • The Go To dropdown in the bottom panel provides quick access during replay

Example Setups

Day Trader

  • "Pre-Market" - Time: 8:00 AM, EST
  • "Market Open" - Time: 9:30 AM, EST
  • "Lunch" - Time: 12:00 PM, EST
  • "Close" - Time: 4:00 PM, EST

Quick Navigation

  • "Next Day" - Offset: 1 day forward
  • "Prev Day" - Offset: 1 day backward
  • "Skip Hour" - Offset: 1 hour forward

Managing Buttons

  • Delete - Click the X icon on a button to remove it
  • Edit - To modify a button, delete it and create a new one with the updated settings

Tips

  • Name clearly - Use descriptive names like "NY Open" instead of "Button 1"
  • Match timezone to market - Use the correct timezone for each market
  • Use offset buttons to quickly scan through multiple trading days
