Entry Notes Guide

Entry Notes allow you to record observations, insights, and analysis for each trade entry in your backtesting sessions. Notes are attached to specific trade entries, building a detailed journal of your practice.

Navigate to Tab 4 (Journal Entry) in the right panel. You'll see the Entry Notes table listing all entries from the current session.

Entry Notes Table

The table displays your entries with the following columns:

  • Date - When the entry was recorded
  • Result - The trade result
  • Net PnL - Net profit/loss for the entry
  • Note - Icon indicator showing if a note exists

Use the search bar to find entries by text, or use the filter dropdown to show:

  • All Entries - Every entry in the session
  • With Notes - Only entries that have notes
  • Without Notes - Only entries without notes

Tips

  • Write notes immediately - Capture thoughts while they're fresh
