In-App Help Search (Ctrl+K)
The in-app search lets you find answers to help documentation questions without leaving Tradavity. Press Ctrl+K (or Cmd+K on Mac) from anywhere in the app to open it.
Opening the Search Bar
There are two ways to open the search:
- Press Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+K (Mac) from any page
- Click the Search button in the top bar
Press Escape to close the search bar.
How to Search
Type at least 2 characters to begin. The search works in two modes depending on what you type:
Keyword Search
For short keyword queries (4 or more characters), results appear automatically after a brief pause as you type. Click any result to open the full help doc on the Help Center, with your search term highlighted and scrolled into view.
Each result shows the doc title, category, and a snippet with your keywords highlighted.
AI Answer
For questions (anything starting with how, what, where, why, or containing a question mark), press Enter to submit. The AI reads the relevant help documentation and generates a concise answer, with links to the source docs at the bottom.
AI answers are also shown when keyword search finds no results for a query — pressing Enter in that case triggers the AI automatically.
For keyword searches, results appear automatically as you type. For questions, you must press Enter to get an AI answer. The search bar will prompt you when Enter is needed.
AI Answer Limits
AI answers are limited to 15 per day per user. The limit resets at midnight UTC. Cached responses (repeated questions) do not count toward the limit and are served instantly.
When you ask a question that has been asked recently, the cached answer is returned immediately without using one of your daily AI queries. The cache is shared across all users.
No Results
If neither keyword search nor AI finds an answer, links to the Discord community and the contact support page are shown so you can get help directly.
