Using Tags
Tags help you categorize and organize your trades. Use them to mark patterns, mistakes, setups, or any other attributes you want to track and analyze later.
Accessing Tags
To manage your tags:
- Click Add Trade in the sidebar
- Go to Step 6 (Documentation)
- In the Tags section, click Manage Tags
This opens the tag management page at /journal/tags where you can create, edit, and delete tags.
How Tags Work
Tags are organized into categories:
- Categories - Groups of related tags (e.g., "Mistakes", "Setups", "Market Conditions")
- Tags - Individual labels within a category (e.g., "FOMO", "Overtrading")
Each tag has:
- A name
- A color for visual identification
- A category it belongs to

This helps you analyze specific types of trades, like reviewing all trades where you made a particular mistake.
Color Coding
Choose colors that help you quickly identify tags:
- Red - Mistakes, losses, problems
- Yellow/Orange - Warnings, caution
- Green - Good setups, followed rules
- Blue - Neutral information
- Purple - Special situations
Best Practices
- Be consistent - Use the same tag for the same situation
