Search & Commands (Ctrl+K)

The Ctrl+K palette is Tradavity's universal command bar. From the same input you can search help docs, ask AI questions, run commands, jump to any page in the app, and pull instant stats without leaving the page you're on.

Opening the Palette

  • Press Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+K (Mac) from any page
  • Click the Search button in the top bar

Press Escape to close.

Tabs

The palette has six tabs that scope what you're searching:

TabWhat it shows
AllEverything mixed together — the default
PagesNavigation commands: dashboard, journal, goals, statistics, etc.
CommandsAction commands that do something in-place — see below
StatsLive stats for your active scope (win rate, P&L, profit factor, streaks, payouts, and more)
TradesLook up a specific trade by number (e.g. type #42)
HelpSearch help docs only

Slash Commands

Type / followed by a name to run a command. As you type, ghost text suggests the closest match — press Tab to accept it, Enter to run it.

Jump to a page

/dashboard, /trades, /goals, /stats, /strategies, /protocols, /routines, /settings, /ai, /balance, /pricing, /help. Typing /settings profile (or any other section key) jumps directly to that section.

Commands that target a single account — /balance and /sync — open an account picker first when you're in All Accounts mode, since they need one specific account to act on.

Run an action

  • /sync — trigger auto-sync for the active account (in All Accounts mode, pick which account to sync)
  • /payouts — open the Payout Statistics overlay for the current account or copy group (aliases: /payout, /payoutstats)
  • /colors — change theme and P&L colors (aliases: /colour, /pnlcolors)
  • /theme dark / /theme light — switch theme instantly
  • /export — go to Export Data in privacy settings
  • /2fa — open Two-Factor Auth settings
  • /logout — sign out

Get an instant stat

Stat commands return the answer inline without leaving the palette. A few of the most useful:

  • /winrate, /pnl, /pf (profit factor), /expectancy, /streak
  • /avgwin, /avgloss, /avgrr, /maxdd, /recovery
  • /bestday, /worstday, /bestsession, /peakhour, /bestdow
  • /bestsymbol, /worstsymbol, /mosttraded, /beststrategy, /worststrategy
  • /payouts, /payoutcount, /pending (per current scope) and /payoutsall, /payoutcountall, /pendingall (across every account)

All stat commands respect your active account/group selection, display timezone, and P&L color settings.

Look up a trade

Type # followed by a trade number (the number in the # column of your trade history) to find that trade. Switching to the Trades tab lets you search the full text of your journal entries, and you can narrow the match with a prefix:

  • symbol:ES, strategy:breakout, setup:pullback, tag:morning
  • confirmation:htf, grade:A+, direction:long, exit:tp
  • session:new york, emotion:anxious, notes:revenge

Without a prefix, your input is matched against all searchable text fields at once.

Quick Actions

When the palette opens with no input, a grid of Quick Actions is shown — the most common shortcuts (Toggle theme, Colors, Add trade, Win Rate, Sync, Export, Balance, 2FA). One click runs them.

Help Search

Type a keyword (2+ characters) and the Help tab fills with matching docs. Click any result to open it on the Help Center with your term highlighted and scrolled into view. Each result shows the doc title, category, and a snippet.

AI Answer

If your input looks like a question (starts with how, what, where, why, or contains a question mark), press Enter to submit. The AI reads the relevant help docs and generates a concise answer with links to the sources. Keyword searches that return no results fall through to the AI automatically.

Daily AI limit

AI answers are limited to 15 per day per user and reset at midnight UTC. Repeat questions served from the shared cache don't count toward your limit.

No Results

If neither keyword search nor AI finds an answer, the palette shows links to the Discord community and to in-app Support, where you can start a ticket with us inline.
